This page showcases my photos of churches and churchyards, with a focus on Sussex, and Dartmoor in Devon, with a sprinkle of Europe.

I am no expert on churches or cathedrals (though I did get an A in religious studies at GCSE) and am in no position to speak with authority on their history. I also don’t practice any religion. However, these places fascinate me and I have a lot of respect for the work that goes in to keep these important community and heritage assets secure.

Sussex

A very old church on the banks of the river Adur and the foot of the South Downs in West Sussex. St. Botolphs is one of those mysterious churches that contains evidence of its Saxon origins.
