Guest Photographer: Poland by Niusia Winczewksi

Poland, country of my birth, a collection of grey and loss, the place my parents escaped from. Eagle podiums and wooden trusses, soot-smears and sadness, communists apartments and catholic alters, angry graffitti and abandoned houses. As silent as ever.

  1. I love Katowice. I lived there for about two years and in fact lived in the vast apartment block in your fourth picture. Superjednostka. Massive. 760 apartments all on stilts because of the mining in the area.

Thanks for reminding me of Katowice. Cheers. Tom
